![]() ![]() Stopping and restarting the audio service in task manager Messing around with the settings in the Sound Recording properties (levels, enhancements, etc.) ![]() Making sure the privacy settings allow access to the mic I've done a complete fresh reinstall of windows from a boot media. I've reinstalled all drivers several times. I'm assuming this is somehow the root of the issue, but no idea why or how to fix it. The exact same driver works perfectly with the headset on my laptop (also running windows 10). When I use the generic windows HD audio driver, the headset isn't even detected at all. So it's clearly doing SOMETHING, it's just not doing it right. ![]() Disgusting, but makes it pick up some sound. The mic, however, won't pick up sound- unless I turn the boost all the way up and put the mic literally into my mouth. When I use the Realtek driver, both mic and heaphones are detected, and the headphones work fine. The same issue presents itself when I try using a pair of earbuds as a mic (again, works fine on other devices). Mic works fine on my laptop and phone, so it's not the headset itself. I have a gaming headset (Kotion Each G2000) with Realtek drivers. Thankfully my laptop is still working, but I'm not sure how long that will last and it isn't a very convenient solution. I've had this problem for months now, and it's become quite the issue considering I need a microphone for work now. ![]()
